Petrotech 2007 provided the perfect launching pad for "Hyderabad 2008" the 7th International Conference and Exposition on Petroleum Geophysics, Jan 14-16, 2008 at Hyderabad International Convention Centre (HICC), Hyderabad.

SPG had a stall in the PETROTECH 2007 exhibition (Hall 18, L 18) in Pragati Maidan, New Delhi. On the stall itself first call for the SPG conference "Hyderabad 2008" was officially inaugurated jointly by Dr. Theo Kortekaas, President, European Association of Geoscientists & Engineers (EAGE), Netherlands and Mr. Apurba Saha, President, SPG, India on 16th January, 2007. The theme for SPG 2008 conference is "Energy Security: Exploration, Exploitation & Economics".

Many known and unknown visitors and members have shown interest in the expanding activities of the SPG and its forthcoming conference "Hyderabad 2008" and have given many feedbacks.

The SPG booth exhibited various activities of the society during the recent past. Overall, SPG presence at Petrotech 2007 was an excellent show and resulted in several gains for the society, both on technical and organizational front.
