SPG at EAGE 2006

This year two of the SPG, India representatives, namely: Mr. Md. S. Akhtar Joint Secretary, SPG, India, and Mr. R. C. P. Saxena from Dehradun attended “68th European Association of Geoscientists & Engineers (EAGE) Conference & Exhibition”, (VIENNA 2006) at Austria during 12-15 June, 2006. SPG, India being the associated society of EAGE, was also offered a complementary booth at “Madrid 2005” conference.

The EAGE conference was attended by around 4500 delegates. Many renowned Geoscientists visited the SPG, India booth at “Vienna 2006” and showed their keen interest in expanding activities of SPG. A meeting was organized by EAGE with its other associated societies to discuss the issue of mutual interests. Many issues related to the joint activities, and how to enhance further relationship between the two societies were discussed.
