This year SPG, India representatives, namely: Mr. Pradeep Bailwal, Ms. Suman Sharma, Office Executives, SPG, India, and Mr. P. R. Balasubramaniam from Mumbai Chapter attended APG's "3rd International conference & Exposition during 22nd – 24th September, 2006 at Goa with the theme "Exploring Exploration – Mind over Machine". SPG, India was offered a complementary booth at "Goa 2006" conference.

The conference was very well organized. Many renowned Geoscientists visited the SPG, India booth at Goa 2006 conference and showed their keen interest in expanding activities of SPG. Visitors at the SPG's booth were keen to know about the next venue of  "SPG 2008" conference.

SPG, India sponsored one lunch during the conference. A technical session on 23rd September on "Innovations in Exploration Technology" was also organized by Society of Petroleum Geophysicists, India.

Mr. Theo Kortekaas, President of EAGE visited the SPG booth and matters of SPG & EAGE cooperation were discussed with Mr. Apurba Saha, President, SPG, India and other officials of SPG, India. Many issues related to the joint activities, and how to enhance further relationship between the two societies were discussed.
