Petrotech 2007 provided the perfect launching pad for "Hyderabad 2008" the 7^th International Conference and Exposition on Petroleum Geophysics, Jan 14-16, 2008 at Hyderabad International Convention Centre (HICC), Hyderabad. 

SPG had a stall in the PETROTECH 2007 exhibition (Hall 18, L 18) in Pragati Maidan, New Delhi. On the stall itself first call for the SPG conference "Hyderabad 2008"  was officially inaugurated jointly by Dr. Theo Kortekaas, President, European Association of Geoscientists & Engineers   (EAGE), Netherlands and Mr. Apurba Saha, President, SPG, India on 16^th January, 2007. The theme for SPG 2008 conference is "Energy Security: Exploration, Exploitation & Economics".
