SPG inducts more Executive Members...

Cosequent upon transfer of various office bearers out of Dehradun, two new executive members were inducted at the last meeting of central executive committee. Sh. Anand Prakash (E&D, ONGC) and Sh. P P Dimri (KDMIPE, ONGC) were unanimous choice of the committee for the purpose.

SPG Ahmedabad holds Talks...

Ahmedabad section of SPG held a lecture series on 24th Sept. 2002. Sh. S Kokku (Perforation Material Policy: A better well completion approach) and Sh. N K Khatri (Mapping of GOC in Limestone Reservoir From Seismic Modelling - A Case Study in Bassein Field), from ONGC Ahmedabad delivered these talks attended by geoscientists from ONGC, Reliance Industries and GSPCL. Sh. Lehmbar Singh, Patron and Dr C S Jain also spoke on the occasion.

SPG Jorhat Organises Lecture…

SPG Jorhat organised a lecture on "Reverse Shooting and Filling of Missing Depth Points in 3D" on 11th October 2002 by Sh. A Nautiyal. Sh. S K Majumdar, Basin Manager, ONGC also spoke on the occasion. (See pics.)

Consortium and New Body at ISM Dhabad…

An SPG initiative, to promote education and R&D in Petroleum Geophysics, is taking shape in the form of a consortium between SGI India, Paradigm Geophysical and ISM Dhanbad. Shri Kharak Singh, President SPG, chaired a meeting to this effect at ISM Dhanbad on 24 Sept. 2002 and an MOU was signed by the participating agencies with SPG as facilitator.
