SPG Jorhat organises geological tour

SPG North East chapter at Jorhat organised a geological tour along Shillong - Jowai Badarpur section. Beginning 7th April, A team of 15 geoscientists, led by Sh. Satyajit Choudhary, DGM(Geol) ONGC, Jorhat, visited various outcropping sections around Shillong, Shahbazpur, Narayanchara, Masimpur, Badarpur and Silchar over a four-day, period. SPG Dehradun organises geological excursion…

SPG Dehradun organised a daylong geological tour to Saketi Fossil Park and Nahan- Renuka section on 25th April. Sixty geoscientists led by Sh. A.G. Pramanik, ED, ONGC visited the fossil park (69 kms Dehradun) and witnessed various formations, thrusts and unconformities exposed along road and river cuts.
